America is advanced citizenship. You gotta want it bad, 'cause it's gonna put up a fight. It's gonna say, "You want free speech? Let's see you acknowledge a man whose words make your blood boil, who's standing center stage and advocating, at the top of his lungs, that which you would spend a lifetime opposing at the top of yours. You want to claim this land as the land of the free, then the symbol of your country can't just be a flag; the symbol also has to be one of its citizens exercising his right to burn that flag in protest." Show me that, defend that, celebrate that in your classrooms. Then you can stand up and sing about the land of the free.

Oh how I wish that was a true quote of a president and not just some lines from a move. While some people may be confused about things I write here, and may think I am hypocritical due to things I write, I can assure them they are incorrect. I am simply an American who loves their country, and what it stands for. While sometimes my comments may seem hypocritical due to me simply playing devil’s advocate, other times it may be due to me seeing a new point of view on a topic due to the wonderfulness of learning and discussion with other people.

All that being said, I welcome any and all comments from people, there is nothing that I am not open to discussing and debating with anyone! The only thing that I ask is that any comments be made with that in mind, and not simply as offensive or rude.
